On my site
http://isracoins.com I sell numismatics - regular coins, silver coins, banknotes, medals, tokens, etc.
The site contains a huge listing of over 2,000 items for sale (and growing...!), spread over some 25 webpages. Each webpage can contain upto 100 items for sale. Each item can be bought online through the PayPal shopping cart. I therefore must use some kind of table format with multiple cells to put some order in the huge array of items for sale, and to place the PayPal Add To Cart button in the right cell.
I designed and maintain my site and pages myself, using MS Frontpage WYSIWYG, a HTML compression program to upload the files as small compressed files, which uncompress when you access the page. You can see the decompression progress at the left bottom of your browser.
I work with a flat LCD 18' screen, res. 800x600.
Kindly review the following pages and give your opinion. If you could also give the following information about the way you viewed my website, that would be even greater:
Do you use a CRT (Regular) or flat LCD screen?
What is your screen's size (15', 17', 18', 19', etc.)?
What is your screen resolution (800x600, etc.)?
These are the sample pages for review:
* Homepage
http://isracoins.com
The header with the logos on the left and right and text in the middle, does it look allright?
The 'Welcome to the Experts...' message is in 'Monotype Corsiva' font, a stylized Italic script. Do you see the same font?
My name, above the black cat mail icon, is in 'Script' font, looks like a hand-scribbled signature. Does it look to you the same?
What do you think about the general layout?
* Sales page
http://isracoins.com/P41.htm
Maybe the largest page with some 240 items with the same amount of shopping cart buttons. Because of commercial reasons I must put all this on one page. Splitting is not possible. The order is numerical, by catalogue number. Each cat. # will redirect you to another website (not mine, not for review) with more info and an image.
How does this sales page load - slow, quick, etc., considering its size?
How does the page look like in general?
* Sales page
http://isracoins.com/P13.htm
Also not exactly baby-sized with some 180 cart buttons.
This page's header looks differen - it's an old-style header with a single logo.
Which header looks nicer, the one on this page, or the header on the other sales page or on the Homepage?
How does it load? Quick, slow, etc.?
If you can spare some time to nose around any other page on my site, and give your opinion, technically, esthetically, all responses and remarks will be appreciated and helpful.
One thing to remember: I am not a programming, webdesign or HTML expert. The very basic design and HTML knowledge has been acquired the hard way, by trial and error.
Thanks a lot for your comments, and when YOU have a website for review, I shall be glad to add my humble opinion.
