We are not slandering when it comes to observing a company. Its an open debate wheter or not if they are running is a shady operation. If nobody investigated Igor Amburg aka Eboundmedia he would still be in business committing fraud and stealing identities. We are not here to slander companies were here to educate consumers.
This is true but because of the inherint nature of the internet people can hide who they are and still do lots of damage.
I always question though why someone gives a positive review after the first month or week for a service. When you think about it what motivates a customer of yours to go out on the internet and sell (or review) for you. I feel that some hosts provide some free months for doing this for them.

I'll give you a piece of truth. I ask my customers if they will post a postive or negative review. I don't ask them if they've been with us for a week, but if they been with us for a few months I ask for them to post one. It doesn't matter if its postive or negative we will give them 1 month free or 2 - 5 GB added to their account. Its not manatory, but its incentive.
a) to slander the company since someone dealings with them is poor, and they want people to know.
Usually when people find a host that is satisfying, they no longer come to foums to look for a host, and therefore, do not post many positive comments on their host (well, until they start having problems with them).
I believe the old adage still holds true. When you're happy with a service, you tell 5 people. When you're unhappy, you tell 20 people (or something to that effect).
It's human nature.
Here's the funny part of it. A while ago, I was speaking with a "large" web host. He said that whenever there was a positive thread about his company, he would get 4 or 5 new signups from it that day. However, when there was a negative 12 page controversial flaming thread about his company, he'd get 30+ signups from it in a day.
People talk about you when they are satisfied also, but rarely. I (e.g.) am very satisfied with the host that I currently have an account with - HostingDelivery. No point not to talk about it - they deserve it - great company. Hope to see more people arround that are happy with their hosts.
