As far as the free offer expiration goes, then it depends, 3 years is a big time. Normaly in 3 years we change even our paid hosting company because of 1 reason or the other. And then this 1 is a free service with 100% gaurantee. Which other free hosting service gives you 99.99% uptime, daily backup of your site, wonderful email support and without any commitments of any sort, without having to post "x" number of posts in their forums and without having "y" unique visitors to your site ??

try hostchange.com & hostrave.com they provide hosting with an 1 time registration fee which is much lesser than this.

Just wanted to say that the hosting is totally free with no ads, banners, etc. The activation fee of $5.00 is for use with Google. This $5.00 is subtracted from the $25.00 credit they give you. So you really get a $20.00 credit. It doesn't cost you anything.

Just wanted to clarify.

Google did not activate the fee from me... They won't let me use my account until I pay with a credit card.

And yes the activation fee is for Google not 1&1.

Yes, the adword account wont be activated till the time you dont enter your credit card details. However you can specify daily spending limit and stop the campaign once your $20 is over. So you have nothing to loose. And yes 1&1 is absolutely free.
