I am in desperate need of a web host with several hard to come by features. I may have as many as 200 subdomain customers in the next couple months as well as a few who need their own domain and hosting.
I need a little of everything or at least the potential to upgrade without paying transfer fees and such.
I am on a budget. I have technical background but I want to be more involved in selling than support. I will design sites for people but I don't want to get into heavy maintenance contracts for admin services and development. I will be contracting out development services from my friends who are also in the IT field. I would prefer a host that will co brand and offer support services to my customers who want their own domain. I will design their site and they will most likely want to maintain it themselves.
My customers are small business retailers so eventually they will need eccommerce features like a shopping cart. They will be beginners so good tech support is important.
An 800 number for both myself and my customers is critical. There should be no nickel-and-dimeing fees - I will pay more per month to have all costs up front.
I want to start on a monthly contract until I feel comfortable that I have chosen the right web host.
All of this has to be Windows based since that is what the small business customers have and probably will continue to have for the next several years.

One quick question - is this a Windows Server or Unix?
My small business customers do not run Unix on their computers and must have Windows Servers.
I am creating databases for them in MS Access that they use on their office computers with an ASP Interface. One day these databases will be migrated to their websites.
So, if you could answer that one question - I didn't see ASP anywhere in your answer.
I am planning on getting a personal account a.s.a.p. like tonight or tomorrow morining so I can upload my "sample" sight (similar to a directory with newsletter) then sometime in January when people have actually handed me cold hard cash and I know how many customers I will be reselling to initially, then I will upgrade to a reseller account.
So far only one customer has asked for his own domain and that would be a domain transfer.
Everyone else will be subdomains on my account.
