What do you look for in host?
Well, the question is rather general, just looking for everybodies individual answer.

An interresting question Helen. Thumb up.
HostSeeker did few months ago a Poll around this thema.
The question was:
What are you waiting from your future webhosting account?
There were 5 choices possible and the survey was answered by almost 1000 visitors.
Multiple choices were also possible.
The stats were as follow:

60% for Lot of Disk Space.
60% for Heavy Bandwith.
60% for Uptime Garantee
50% for 24/7 Support
80% for Cheap Prices.

Almost 40% checked all the options and 20% voted only for Cheap Prices.

This is not representative of the whole customer panel, above all we were missing important informations such age, gender, location and income. Anyway, it show that a lot of people are looking before all for the cheapest prices independantly of the quality or the support provided.

Hmm... I find uptime and good service and support the most important though

Uptime and support are my top 2 needs from a host.

I wonder in what way did you make this stats...
Total amount of %, according it, consists 370%....
But I thought, it should be 100%

In fact, not with the system we used. As it allowed multiple choices answers.
The % represent a global rate.
Eg: 60% for Lot of Disk Space means that 6/10 answers were including this choice. Then you are able to see that 4 peoples don't care about Disk Space.... and so on. This is because we weren't interrested by a restrictive poll. Peoples were free to check all the answers, as you can see, lot of them checked the first 3. It is relevant to see that only 50% are looking for the Support and care about the Prices.

Again, this survey was not reprensative of the whole customer's panel. It was just to have an idea of the motivation of our visitors.....
