PaySystems bull, looking for alternative that will work with WHMAutoPilot? - 07-02-2004, 12:57 AM

Hi all,

We are experiencing many, many problems with PaySystems currently and are at the point where we are not willing to process customers credit cards with them until we recieve an apology and the problems are resolved. If this doesn't happen (which looks like it won't), we are going to have no option but to charge back the setup fee. When we signed up, they set us up with the wrong rates, etc., and send us in circles when we try to get them changed. The staff are then very rude to us and don't seem to be interested in our business anymore. Now when I go on the phone I get put on hold for an hour before hanging up and get terminated on live chat.

I am based in the UK, so Authorize.NET is ruled out. I need a stable processor with rates at around 3.95% + $1.00, ruling 2CheckOut out. I don't seem to have many other options. I need to accept payments via credit card through WHMAutoPilot. Our business can't rely on PayPal, plus it makes potential customers weary.

Please give your your advice and experiences.

Thank you

Hi,

I've taken a look at WHMAutoPilot. It seems my only other option is WorldPay, which is extremely expensive (£300+ setup and yearly fees, high processing fees, etc., etc.). Does this mean I'm going to have to change billing systems just because PaySystems can't pull their finger out and sort my rates out?

Thanks

Hello,

I did a search on google.com for international merchant accounts.. Here is what I found..

Verisign's Payflowpro: http://www.verisign.com/products/payflow/merchant.html

CardService International: http://www.cardservice.com/

http://www.monstermerchantaccount.com/

And the list goes on.. To many to try and get pricing for each.. You'd have to just look around I guess.

Hope this helps,
Chris

If you are taking payment from UK customers the only other programe I could suggest is Nochex.com I know they are not added to paypal yet but they are not far behind having all the correct things to be.

cheers

I would consider WorldPay.

I was in a similar situation (missed billing etc) and found the cash for Worldpay's fees. Their fees are 4.5% + £0.06 and debit cards are a fixed fee. I had a couple of setup issues with them, but I find their system is much easier to use and generally problem free.

Iam having the same problem since my web hosting company is registered in Jordan, i even cant get a merchant account with paysystems.com, iam currently incorporating the company in the U.S and opening a U.S bank account because that is the only way i can get an account with authorize.net since they are the best.

Rates are 1.25% with 5% rolling reserve $0.35 per transaction.

Paysystems has a really bad attitude. I used them shortly but dropped them because of bad support and bad service. You might want to talk to your local bank to see if they have something to offer.

Did you get anywhere? I'm looking for an additional account with them or someone decent (and quickly too) :)

The best option is to open a US bank account, and use Authorize.net.
