Tech : Ok
You : how do i create a new module
Tech : I don't know, you're going to have to ask the developers of Php-Nuke.
Tech : Or in some sort of Php-Nuke forums.
Tech : Try searching Google
You : i did
You : so now what
You : COMEON
Tech : ?
Tech : What do you want me to do?
Tech : I don't know.
You : ok...sum help
Tech : I have no idea how to create a new module in Php-Nuke.
You : so what i pay u to what
Tech : To keep your site online, and manage the server that your site is hosted on. Not to provide support for 3rd party software that you installed, and that we have no training in.
You : yes but what keeps me from changeing host
Tech : I don't know, but this sort of question is not something you should be asking us. We are a web hosting company and have no affiliation nor involvement with Php-Nuke.
You : ok
You : fine :-(
You : bitch
Tech : Sorry

Wow!

If I had someone call me a *bitch* I would close their account in 3 seconds flat. I don't take rude remarks from anyone lightly, neither should you. There is no excuse to get as low as name calling and being a complete jerk, like your customer is donig. Don't let them get away with it or they will continue to walk all over you.... :.02

Deffinatly add a note in your aup about customer verbal abuse. Alot of people are keyboard tough guys. See how tough they are when their account is suspended....

Neverminding the fact that the client was a complete ass it really wouldnt have takin that long to search for the information. Took about 3 mins to find - http://www.phpnuke.org/modules.php?n...g-modules.html Just direct them to that and add that you do not support programming in any language.

I had a client call upset at me as the site I did for him just dropped off the top slot of Google and he was losing business. He asked what he paid me for etc etc..

I designed his site 2 years ago for £500 !

Sheesh!

The client was rude - no doubt. For future cases I would recommend going the extra step and at least provide the URL to the website of phpnuke and maybe their forum if there is one. Put's less stress on yourself and adds value in form of increased customer service level. Don't terminate the account - the negative feedback the client might leave when going rampage will triple the effect. If he wants to leave, he will leave ....

You think you've got it bad, we had racism, death threats, all sorts!! From 3 seperate customers!
And why did we receive this kind of abuse??
1 reseller customer wanted private nameservers and wanted to know why his private nameservers weren't working. We spent ages looking into it as we couldn't see a problem at our end + we talked him through step by step the processes of setting up the nameservers at his end (which he told us he had already done), but then it turned out he didn't even own or have any access to that domain name!!
1 other reseller customer wanted to know why their domain name wan't linking to the account they had just created for it...and guess what...they hadn't even bought the domain name, it was still unregistered!
And finally, the 3rd customer had bought a domain name, but hadn't bought any hosting + wanted to know why he got nothing when he typed in his domain name!
I've got a lot of patience for newbie customers, but these 3 guys thought they knew it all and proceeded to tell us in the worst way possible how stupid we were.
:kaioken: they drive me mad!!

Unless we are talking about a fully managed solution, webhosting suppor usually means support for the webhosting and that's it. Of course I get questions like this all the time (although everyone is polite) - and I do answer them if I know the answer. If I don't I point them in the closest direction I can with some kind of reference to a site or something.

If a customer treated my like that - then I wouldn't be so excited to help them out, unless I had done something to anger them.
