Lightbulb Split your company up or keep it all under one name? - 04-12-2004, 10:54 PM

Since we're on the topic of multiple companies under one (from Web Hosting Section) - what do you think of spliting up your services and making a site for each one?

Example
- 1 for shared hosting
- 1 for reseller hosting
- 1 for design/programming services?
- 1 for domain services?

Is it better to do that (split them) or just put it all under Company ABC?
Why?

I have one registered business (JP WebTech) And then all the other sites are "divisions" of that business. I have found it better especially when it comes to recieving money.. People would send me emails making sure that JP WebTech was the correct place to send them money when they were on one of my other sites purchasing something.. It slows things down. Look at the footer of W3Reports..

Personally if you were going to split your company, I think you should split it so Shared, Reseller, and Domain services were under one company name, and then Design/Programming services were under a different company or site. Although, I think having them all as one would work just as affectively as if you split them apart, so it's pretty much to your preference.
