Registrar - 10-20-2004, 05:05 AM

Hello,
I am new to hosting (less than a year) and am trying to get my own dns. The host that I just signed with a new host that allows personalized dns. What I need to know is how do I register a new dns. I am told that it must be done through my registrar..how do I find who that is. My domain was registered with another hosting company, are they the same as the registrar?

Hi,
You need register your domain name as dns server (name server)
If you have enom reseller account, you can do it by their site for free, or you can ask your domain registrar to register yourdomain as a name server.
If you wan, i can give you enom reseller account. After then you can register .com, .net, .org , info, .biz for $8.95

Have fun

If you domain was registered with a previous host I would recommend that you get it transferred to the registrar of your choice where only you have control over the domain ASAP

Most registrars have a control panel allowing you to register nameservers as well as manage other DNS aspects of the domain.

Once you have access . . . - 11-22-2004, 05:22 PM

If you post your domain here, we could probably point you to your registrar.
If your hosting company owns the domain, then you might need their assistance. Once you have access the procedure is fairly simple.
