What is the best way to increase traffic and hits??

I have a tutorials website

I usually get around 27-30 hits per day
How should I get more hits for free?

get your own domain and hosting, then have others link to you, and tada your done. If you want help or prices with that just let me know.

I agree, a good domain name is a good place to begin.
Most of them though are taken or are really expansive. Then you have to deal with Domain Name Brokers (eg on NamePros.com) or wait that one become available. (Drop list on Pool.com)

Then this is all of advertising business....
SEO (there are a lot of famous places to begin), Marketing, Links and Banners Exchange and/or Advertising. This is only a question of budget.

Usually, the cheapest is to find partners and request link exchange with them.
For example, you can automaticly insert your link on the front page of this forum (as i am writing few spots are still available...)

Please note that "hits" and "visitors" or "page views" are not the same thing... one hit is counted whenever one file (be it image, html document etc.) is requested from the server. So this means 30 hits can only mean one page view.

My sites has about 200 page views daily and my stats script counts a few thousand hits.

The most important stats is certainly the Unique Visitors array.
