Hi all,

Where to start... hummmm....

I am have a small business. I provide on-site technical support for small businesses with no more than 30 employees. I maintain there intranet and the broadband connections, servers, network, desktops, VPNs, application support... you get the picture.

I have started to host a few of my clients web sites via a reseller account with a reliable host. (all is well to here)

Now some of my clients are asking about SSL, shopping carts, online billing, and such. I came across this site http://www.fluxservices.com and I was impressed with the comprehensive services provided and I would like to do something similar with my hosting-site-business.

I have tried to contact the business to ask questions and I have not received a response. I have asked other hosting companies and have gotten a hard reply. I understand that I may be competition but I also have a selected market that I am targeting.

1.) I would like to provide something similar.

2.) I do not know if what he offers comes as a package from a larger reseller or if it is bits and pieces.

3.) If it is bits and pieces then I need to find out what bits and pieces work together and which do not.

4.) Cost, cost, cost.... (estimated) always the bottom line.

So I am researching the possibility of adding onto my existing venture but I need to be educated before I do so.

Dual? There isnt a Duel of proccessors, if there was, that would cause a lot of havok. ;-)

Contact your reseller hosting company, the should have something in place.
SSL Certs and Shopping Carts.

It's usually pieces brought together, then marketed.

3.) If it is bits and pieces then I need to find out what bits and pieces work together and which do not.
This is the tricky part, your host should be able to assist you with this.
If you are on linux/unix server, you have many options.

4.) Cost, cost, cost.... (estimated) always the bottom line.
Host, Host, Host depends on the relationships your reseller has with ssl providers, etc.


Hope this helped out a bit. It's great you are able to provide hosting for these clients. Also start thinking about support. As you continue to grow, your clients will demand more time.
