Question Question to those experienced in reselling.. - 10-05-2003, 09:09 AM

This post is related to billing in regards to reselling webhosting services.

Does anyone recommend (ie: has had experience with) any billing / credit card processing companies other than Paypal and Worldpay? The more you can recommend the better.. :)

I also know of Yahoo's Paydirect, but they have a monthly receive limit of $1000 or something. That's hardly good for business.

Thanks! :D

You may want to consider 2checkout.com - they are not bad. They have some issues, but some strong points too especially for the smaller shops. Your are looking at approx. $50 setup, then 5.5% and $.25 per transaction. http://www.2checkout.com .

You can also consider going the modernbill route and then backing it up with a merchant account and an authorize.net account. Generally here you are looking at $25 for modernbill leased, then another $20 - $30 per month in gateway and statement fees, then about 3% + $.30 per transaction. We work with a company called e-onlinedata who we met through modernbill.

http://www.resellerstreet.com/merchantaccounts.asp gives you some details on that merchant plan.

consider phpCoin is you are not oo rich ;) - 11-10-2003, 03:18 PM

Also, a free option is phpCoin. The one place I get my plan from has it as an auto install from their Cpanel (they have tons of self made auto-installs). It is pretty cool for being free, but not as robust as modernbill. I recomend Modernbill, but phpCoin is not bad.

HTH :D
