Smile Newbie Looking for Advice - 06-25-2003, 01:11 AM

Hello All,

I'm interested in finding a reliable web hosting reseller program where I don't have to handle any customer support or billing. Anybody have any suggestions.

Thanks,

Charlie

Support is expensive

If you are looking for great live support for your clients I would suggest finding a company that has 'neutral support' in other words a company that provides support for many different web hosts, your client will never know they are not talking to someone on your site, and they will get good fast support.

I hope this helped

Hi Charlie,
I think you should just look for a referral program then.
The whole point to being a reseller is you handle your own billing as well as support :D
Now there may be some exceptions to the rule but this is generally how it works.
You see with a referral/affiliate program you would just get a % of the sale or flat fee and the host would handle all aspects of the client.;)

I would suggest H-Sphere by psoft.net as they have billing included in their reseller software system. As for support you may want to look into using a compnay like Act Support, they are very good and know both Unix and Windows. Just give them access to your ticket system and buy a block of tickets and you'll be set. You can be very cost effective doing it this way.

Another thing to think about is the JointSupportForum (http://www.jointsupportforum.com, where along with other hosts you share the burden of support - it can give you 24 hour support with hosts in different timezones!

reseller program - 12-10-2003, 08:04 PM

A good start and something that can help you is look into Cpanel/WHM and see if there is anything that will interest you. I have been using it with all my reseller accounts and don't have any complaints.

regards,
Omar

Maybe you should look also into affiliate programs.

Hi we can help you with this, let me first introduce a company I work for Interhost Uk http://interhostuk.net . We are part of a family group of hosting companys which has been around for over 9 years in total, with full automated access to enom and Nominet Uk.

I personaly use them as my host at home for my personal website, not just because I get it free but because its very fast and very reliable.

Best of all I know that they do know what they are talking about. What you have to watch out for is resellers with a dedicated server whom cram the servers full of resellers and this gradually slows the sites dowm. Most also decide to move on to other things and leave you hanging. We own all of our servers so any problem what's so ever we take care of in a fast and efficent way.

I would recommend the basic reseller package from the company I work for to start with as you can always upgrade, it includes cpanel/whm which is really good and very stable. Avoid Plesk , enism .

Hope this helps.
