Giving out Orkut invitations - points donations welcome - 06-08-2004, 11:05 PM

For those of you who don't have an account at orkut, here's the chance. I will give out invitations to the first 5 people to PM me. Please include your email addy, so that I know where to send it.

You can find out what orkut si here: www.orkut.com
Being a member of orkut can increase the chances of you getting a gmail invite, although no-one on the face of this planet can guarantee that.

Anyway, PM me if interested. Point donations are always very welcome :D :D :D
Be generous

I guess everybody here would like to know how to get a free gmail invite ;)
Even if most of them are actually sold between 20$ and 35$ everywhere, i am still wondering why peoples are running to pay for this.
Okay, it is certainly in the optic: "First come first served". But who care about a gmail adress? Even if there is a lot of disk space with it. Even if the aliases may highly personalized. Does it not better to have its own domain name with a webhosting account? me@myfamilyname.com will be always better than some me@gmail.com or myfamilyname@gmail.com.
I like how the marketing create some needs. Incredible how the sale propositions inflated since a week or so. And how fast peoples are ready to pay in the fear to miss something. I hope they won't create this WLS (Waiting List Service) as in the domain name business ;). Funny anyway. Pay for something that will be free.

That's why your proposition here sounds good. Everybody would like to get a free invitation for a free gmail adress . :D
Good luck with your project.

Now, I never said that joining orkut gets you a gmail account guaranteed. I don't have gmail myself. I don't even need it!!! I have my domains on which I can make unlimited email accounts (and a s*itload of space for mails too).

Orkut is a "socialising" tool by google. Still beta, but you can meet tons of ppl over there and also get business oportunities... I think

Hi Kaliboy,
Welcome to this place.
I am sure you will be able to deal something with Matrics.
Anyway, you are also able to buy points if you have a paypal account.
These are sold $0.03 on the HostSeeker's Store.
