We have hired a new coder and he is working on a new version of EP. Edge Panel PRO / XL havent decided the name yet. Some of the things he's working on.

* Working on a solution for piping!!!
* Converting EP to use SMARTY. This will seperate the functionality from the templates. Making it easier to edit the look of EP PRO / XL.
* Better FAQ section and functionality.
* The ability to edit the look and feel of the emails that are sent out.
* Placing all the text into a language file for easy editing into different languages.
* A new admin dashboard with windows configurable with any type of data contained in the DB.
* EP will get an updated interface look. One of more icon based.
* Better admin reporting and report generation.
* Enhanced live chat functionality. Like that of PHPLive.

These are but a few of the things that he is currently and will be working on. We have tried to get as many things on the list as possible without killing him, lol

What will it cost? Ahhhh, the all important question.

READ THIS CAREFULLY BELOW!!!

For those of you that currently have EP 2.11 You will be able to upgrade to EP PRO / XL for FREE!! ZERO, NADDA, ZIPPO. When it comes time to renew your license, the cost that you spent for EP i.e. $35 will be the cost of the renewal!! Your pricing will NOT change for as long as you have a current license with us.

Now, for those of you that DO NOT own a valid license when EP PRO / XL comes out, The new application will cost you anywhere between $50 and $75, havent locked down a price yet.

For those of you that have been asking for outright owned licenses. This option will be available. Price has not been set as of yet but it I can see it going for somewhere are $400. This will include support and updates for 1 year.

With the use of SMARTY and the fix of email piping one way or the other, will still allow us to encode EP but allow you the community the flexibility to edit the look and feel of EP as needed.

WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?
Right now we have a date of OCT 1ST,2004

This will give us enough time for completion, testing, QA, and fixes. IF THE DATE HAS TO BE ROLLED BACK IT WILL. We want to make sure we are doing things correct this time and that we deliver a product and solution that will be hard to beat for the price.
