Advertise so the forum will become more active

yeah, but it hasnt been open that long, and allready has abit of members :D

We choosed actually the way of the mouth-to-hear, we also advertised the forum in our monthly newsletter.
Anyway, we may engage an adwords advertising with google, next week.

Have you got any suggestions about some other way to advertise the board?

Maybe affiliate with other boards?

I guess we will ordering Advertising Spots on Famous Established Community.
Affiliate with other boards might be an idea, even if it is really difficult to deal a partnership with other places as now they all try to save their member to be "leeched". We will anyway also looking in that way. Thanks for the idea.

Well, you could work out a deal with members that have hosting related sites. They advrtise you and you advertise them... or something

That's already what we are doing since 2 years on www.hostseeker.com .
Actually we would like to devellop our network and not use the existing one.

By the way, i guess one of the best way to advertise will be to use the Refer Friends feature we setted up lately.
This will allow you to send a mail (which you can customize) to friend with your own referral link in it. Should i say that each referrer will be paid §100 HS. This can be translated in Free Advertising campaigns for your business on the HS Network.

When did you open this board?

There was a first attempt in the late 2002, but as HS wasn't what it is today, we weren't able to manage devellopment and moderating. So we have let the idea sleeping for almost 2 years, we relaunched it 4 days ago with a new design, a new script (vBulletin) and some customized hacks.
