Templates dont matter if you have quality content.

Content, followed by advertising, then your design.

As long as you have content that you'd be hard put to find elseware, none of your visitors would care if your site template had Barney and the rest of the show's cast covering the whole screen with hearts tiling as the background.

Advertising would follow because no one would ever go to your site with rare content if they didn't know about it, lol.
