Gmail Now Offers POP Access

Seemingly answering the cries of Gmail users everywhere, Google has announced a new feature for their growing email service. The new addition will allow members to use POP access to check their mail

Nah, POP3 is great for me. For one, I'd rather view and respond to email in a nice fat desktop app, plus where I work gmail is blocked by our proxy server so I can only get at my gmail (at work) via pop3.

I still like the idea of keeping the stored email on their server and not fill up my pc. I just tell the pop3 dl to leave the mail on the server.

Glad the enabled it. :appl:

...too bad for them that the Yahoo! Desktop search is way better than the Google Desktop search.
