Nah, POP3 is great for me. For one, I'd rather view and respond to email in a nice fat desktop app, plus where I work gmail is blocked by our proxy server so I can only get at my gmail (at work) via pop3.
I still like the idea of keeping the stored email on their server and not fill up my pc. I just tell the pop3 dl to leave the mail on the server.
