ROR.xml and RSS - 09-01-2005, 08:26 PM

Hello all,

I recently came across a new technology called ror.xml

More information can be viewed at: http://www.rorweb.com/

Whats the purpose of using ROR over RSS?

Isn't ROR pointless since HTML already provides something similar to this via <meta> and <link>?

RSS is XML, and describe content on a website. so why need something like ROR. From my understanding ROR is supposed to be used more like an online "business card" i.e. providing contact details Cant you do that with RSS?

It says ROR is supposed to be 'search engine friendly', so is RSS. Or am I missing the point?

Krz
