why your website shouldn't require flash. -

They don't make a flash plugin for Freebsd, and Mozilla; so that means on every webpage someone using freebsd and mozilla (or mozilla equivilant), will get a very annoying popup asking to install the plugin, when there is actually no plugin available.
tip:
It took me a while to figure out, but if you are having this problem, find the libnullplugin.so file inside your cd /usr/X11R6/lib/firefox/lib/mozilla-1.6/plugins/ and rename it to something other than libnullplugin.so (i use libnullplugin.so1).

make one flash, one html / graphics, then put a preverbial fork in the road with a splash page.

Flash does not support freebsd, but does linux. The obvious solution is to setup freebsd to support linux based applications, theres a mod built into freebsd for this.
