How to provide ecommerce site easily - 05-25-2004, 10:47 PM

I have a customer wanting an online shop of about 20 pages where I do the design but they can update prices / products themselves - need to be full ecommerce with prices, shipping, VAT etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can deliver this easily?

I use NetObjects Fusion 7.5 and the site must be in £

Many thanks

Use a premade shopping cart program like oscommerce, find a good host which offers ssl and dedicated ips, get a hosting account, addon a dedicated ip, buy an ssl certificate, get the site running... use paypal as a way to accept money, and your done and set. Just an idea.

I'm with HelluvaHost, that configuration is best for starting up. Additionally, you can get 2checkout integrated for those clients that don't have paypal

Just a Note about 2CO: I know that one of the most required feature is the recurring payment. Which is still not posible with the majority of SC scripts and 2CO. But you can still use PayPal as an alternative to this kind of payment.

Just be advised before spent $49.
