I currently have a shared reseller account and need a dedicated server. Since my only experience is with a shared reseller account, I would need management that is similiar to what I am receiving.

I would be interested in the following configuration:

Pentium IV Processor
dual 120 GB drives (one drive for nightly backups)
1000 GB bandwidth
Unix hosting
whm for installing hosting accounts
cPanel
Root Access for installing software

Can anyone make any recommendations for a reliable datacenter that would offer inexpensive pricing for what I am looking for?

ServerMatrix isn't exactly what I would consider fully managed. If you're looking for what is considered Fully Managed (For an example RackSpace) then you should be prepared to pay more.

It is also best to get a server directly from the company that will be managing it instead of hiring techincans as you got the company that manages your server right at the data center unlike the technican that you hired has to contact you and then you got contact your provider. It is alot easier to just pick a managed provider directly.

Deffinetly servermatrix, If you want a high uptime server stay away from managed.com thats all I can say.

There needs to be a balance as you can have the best tech in the world but if you have a server at a poor datacenter theres not much the tech can do about a downed network. For true managed soultions check out rackspace.com or you may want to look at a vps solution if you can possibly lower your bw requirements. I have herd alot of good things about www.servint.com *Note: Havent personaly used them, just going on hearsay*

I am new to this forum, but I know a hosting company that will provide you will a Fully managed dedicated server full 24 by 7 phone and Ticket support services.

Also they can offer unmanaged servers, which if you do that I know a Company that does Outsoruced support which are very good.

I myself am a Linux/Unix Guru with 2 1/2 years exp, I know lots about running servers and systems that use linux/unix/apache/openssh/ etc.

I don't necessarily agree with insane's comments regarding outsourcing support. A good managed provider should be able to provide a higher level of support. They will have direct physical access to the server. For them to retain the customer, it becomes absolutely necessary for them to resolve any issues regardless of the source - software or hardware.

In the end, it is essential to ask a provider what their definition of "managed" is!
