I think he/she was just adding a extra letter for not reason... because "hai" is a japanese word (I think it means "yes"... one of those really formal sounding "yes"s anyway :P)
I will never look at an eel the same way again after watching "More Eels". If you don't know what I'm referring to, feel blessed you haven't.
