Question Outsourcing Support Call Center vs Employee - 04-05-2005, 11:46 PM

I'm looking at options for putting a little more human touch into my businesses support department. Right now I'm trying to just gather all the information I can possibly get on this subject. I'm still trying to make a decision between signing up with an outsourced call center that will do very basic support and may not have the top skills or getting our own outsourced employee that is dedicated.

I see options on the freelance sites like elance and guru for call centers and live support and they are fairly cheap and per minute based, but I'm not sure of the quality? Anyone have an experience with them?

The alternative is an outsourced employee who is dedicated to my company and works on my schedule. I'm looking at labor assistance, seems like this may be the best way to go although it may be a little more expensive in the short term.

Anyone have experience with any of this outsourced labor stuff in their business? Thoughts appreciated.
