Finding good adspace can be very frustrating no matter what you are trying to advertise. Forums are a great place to subtle ads about your stuff. Just add your link to your signature where aloud and get involved in conversations. It really pays off. Plus you make some friends along the way. Just make sure adding links to your signature is allowed and you don't just post a couple words and leave. It benefits you and the forum you post on that way.

I also have tried running ads in the local paper but have found that to be a waste unless you spend the the big bucks and get large ad space.
